How to create the perfect "out on the town" look!

Celebrity Makeup Artist Mathew Nigara (think Kate Winslet and Diane Von Furstenberg) once stated that “When it comes to creating a universally flattering look, the theme has to be elegant.”  Featuring glowing skin and a classic nude lip, the main focus should be on the eyes. Here's how to achieve a sure fire look that will look gorgeous on any skintone!

Start With Flawless Skin
Your skin is the most fundamental part of your makeup application, especially around the eyes, so start there. Use a nuetralizing concealer to cover any redness or blueish hue from under the eyes. Then apply a light foundation or tinted moisturizer - a skin brightening serum with a slight pink shimmering tint will give a "lit-from-within" quality, so we suggest you opt for trying it out.
One to try:

Mineral Sheer Tint in Natural Glow - the perfect amount of coverage with out the heavy feeling some foundations can leave.

Baked Finishing Powder in Satin Glow - we love the swirls of bronze and pinks which blend into the face sweetly.

Add a Pop of Color
Every woman needs a little rosey cheek action, so depending on your skintone you'll have to change the intensity of the color to your liking. We suggest you pat on a cream-to-powder or gel blush into the skin on the apples of your cheeks and use the same color to contour directly under the cheekbone. It'll look fabulous!

Oomph Up Your Eyes
Eye shadow primer isn't crucial, but it is recommended - as you want your look to stay crease-free all night.  After you prime, take a long-lasting pencil and line your upper lashes and blend out and up towards the crease of your lid. The liner will act as a smudge-proof shadow base. Use the same liner to line the outer rims of your bottom lashes and blend to create a sexy effect. Next, apply a taupe cream based shadow with a hint of shimmer all over the lid. (This season the one to try is a sophisticated iridescent color…which are very sexy for an evening look.) Add a deeper taupe with glitter in the crease and blend to create added depth. Make sure to curl your lashes before applying two coats of black mascara. If you haven't had you eyebrows permanently filled - well, what are you waiting for? - you'll need to use a brow defining pencil on the arch and tail of your eyebrows.
Some to try:

Brow Sculpt in Brunette - perfect for filling in color and avoiding unruly hairs.

Signature Shadow Trio in Date - these colors will look gorgeous on every eye, a slight glimmer will add definition & glamour.

Scarlett Tantric Mascara - The World's First Sex Proof Mascara! - we love the way this lengthens and seperates lashes for gorgeous doe eyed eyes.

Swipe On an Elegant Pout
Use the same color as your cream blush to stain your lips before applying a creamy nude lipstick on top to ensure it will last all night. A nude lip is timeless and looks great on everyone. Here's a tip - instead of using lip gloss over the entire lip, try applying a clear gloss just in the center of the lips to give it a moist, healthy look.

This is a great look perfect for Valentine's Day dinner and drinks or try it on a night out with the girls!
