Get the skin you crave!

Many woman desire flawless skin, but what most don't know is that it is achievable. We want to fill you in on what types of facial treatments you can get that can truly transform your dull, lifeless, acne prone, or aging skin into that glowing complexion you crave.

So, what are facial peels?

Simply put - Facial peels improve skin texture for the softer and smoother complexion of younger, healthier looking skin. Skin can become clogged with dead skin cells, making it look dull and lifeless. Facial peels are a deep form of exfoliation to remove the dead skin and improve skin tone and texture.

The basics - A classic facial usually involves cleansing, exfoliating, extractions, a mask, and a moisturizer, and is great for anyone with normal to dry skin. Extractions are safe for most people, as long as the esthetician first uses steam to soften the pores, and covers her fingers with gauze. Extractions do pinch, but if the pain is intense, let your esthetician know. Anyone with rosacea or eczema should ask the esthetician to skip steaming (which can exacerbate those conditions) and use a warm cloth instead.

The results - With all types of peels, you can expect a smoother, brighter complexion. With lighter peels, the results can be immediate. If you have a stronger formulation, your treatment may last between 4-6 weeks. You might not see any results until after the treatment has finished but you can expect your skin to peel during this time and you would need to protect your skin from the sun.

A favorite - Micro-dermabrasion facial
The centrepiece of a micro-dermabrasion facial is an exfoliating blast of tiny particles of sand or crystals to remove dead skin cells and smooth uneven skin. It also stimulates the skin to produce its own collagen and improves lymphatic drainage which will encourage your immune system to heal itself. Because it does not use chemicals, micro-dermabrasion can be a good treatment for people who have sensitive skin.
What it's good for: brightening, cleansing, anti-acne/scarring, anti-wrinkles. Also referred to as "skin resurfacing".

Not all skin is created equal: When you're choosing a facial for your skin issues, here's what we offer at Dermagrafix.

Are you eyebrow challenged...

Are you eyebrow challenged? Are your eyebrows sparse due to over tweezing or a medical condition? Do you have little or no eyebrow hair? Do you find it difficult to put them on without your glasses, but your glasses are in the way? Does the drawn on design come out crooked or uneven? Do your penciled brows wear off during the day?  For these reasons and many, many more,

Women all over are finding permanent cosmetic eyebrows are perfect for them.

Let Dermagrafix create anything from a few hair strokes to dramatic fully colored brows that even your closest friends won't believe aren't your own.

Here's how it works...
Step 1 - Consultation:
If you wear eyebrow pencil, you may want to wear your penciled eyebrows to the consultation the way you would like them to appear after the cosmetic tattoo has healed. Or, you may bring a pictorial representation of your preferred eyebrow design. Your permanent cosmetic professional will advise you if the example(s) are age and style appropriate for permanent cosmetic eyebrows.

Step 2 - Design Session:
This is a very crucial point of our process, we want to be sure the look and shape you desire is exactly what you get. It is very important that you and the permanent cosmetic professional you choose have a good verbal communication relationship. As the client, you must convey details of your design and color preferences and the technician must understand these preferences and translate them over to tattooing artistic techniques. Your permanent cosmetic professional will work one on one with you using eyebrow pencil to create the size, shape, arch and angle that flatters your already beautiful features. Once you and your technician have decided to move forward, your procedure appointment can be scheduled and your deposit will be due. We like to send you home wearing your new drawn on eyebrows so you may grow comfortable and confident with them.

Step 2 - Procedure:
With anticipation and excitement, the big day has come! First, the skin is cleaned with an appropriate cleanser. After the eyebrows are drawn on with an eyebrow pencil and outlined with surgical marker, the topical anesthetic will be applied. While the anesthetics are taking effect, the worktable will be assembled with one-time-use accessories, a sterilized needle will be opened, the needle assembled into the device. Once your anesthetics have been removed, your procedure can begin. The eyebrow design which has been approved by the client is tattooed on and Anesthetic may or may not be used throughout the procedure.

Step 3 - Aftercare:
When the permanent eyebrow procedure has been completed, aftercare instructions are normally provided. The recommended cleanser, H2Ocean Blue Green Foam Soap is available for purchase in our studio along with the recommended lotion, After Inked Tattoo Aftercare Lotion. A touch up is than scheduled for four to six weeks from the date of your original procedure, to determine how the eyebrow procedure healed and if any further work is needed. Following your touch up, we ask that you return for a quick check up within four to six weeks from the date of your touch up, to ensure you are happy with your new brows!

Your life now becomes more carefree and convenient. You will likely find yourself participating in more activities and feeling more confident about your appearance under all circumstances.
