How to create the perfect "out on the town" look!

Celebrity Makeup Artist Mathew Nigara (think Kate Winslet and Diane Von Furstenberg) once stated that “When it comes to creating a universally flattering look, the theme has to be elegant.”  Featuring glowing skin and a classic nude lip, the main focus should be on the eyes. Here's how to achieve a sure fire look that will look gorgeous on any skintone!

Start With Flawless Skin
Your skin is the most fundamental part of your makeup application, especially around the eyes, so start there. Use a nuetralizing concealer to cover any redness or blueish hue from under the eyes. Then apply a light foundation or tinted moisturizer - a skin brightening serum with a slight pink shimmering tint will give a "lit-from-within" quality, so we suggest you opt for trying it out.
One to try:

Mineral Sheer Tint in Natural Glow - the perfect amount of coverage with out the heavy feeling some foundations can leave.
Available in Dermagrafix Permanent Cosmetic Studio Only

Baked Finishing Powder in Satin Glow - we love the swirls of bronze and pinks which blend into the face sweetly.
Available in Dermagrafix Permanent Cosmetic Studio Only

Add a Pop of Color
Every woman needs a little rosey cheek action, so depending on your skintone you'll have to change the intensity of the color to your liking. We suggest you pat on a cream-to-powder or gel blush into the skin on the apples of your cheeks and use the same color to contour directly under the cheekbone. It'll look fabulous!
One to try:

Scarlett Blush #5 - cream to powder blush in a shade we find perfect for most skintones.
Available in Dermagrafix Permanent Cosmetic Studio

Oomph Up Your Eyes
Eye shadow primer isn't crucial, but it is recommended - as you want your look to stay crease-free all night.  After you prime, take a long-lasting pencil and line your upper lashes and blend out and up towards the crease of your lid. The liner will act as a smudge-proof shadow base. Use the same liner to line the outer rims of your bottom lashes and blend to create a sexy effect. Next, apply a taupe cream based shadow with a hint of shimmer all over the lid. (This season the one to try is a sophisticated iridescent color…which are very sexy for an evening look.) Add a deeper taupe with glitter in the crease and blend to create added depth. Make sure to curl your lashes before applying two coats of black mascara. If you haven't had you eyebrows permanently filled - well, what are you waiting for? - you'll need to use a brow defining pencil on the arch and tail of your eyebrows.
Some to try:

Brow Sculpt in Brunette - perfect for filling in color and avoiding unruly hairs.
Available in Dermagrafix Permanent Cosmetic Studio Only

Signature Shadow Trio in Date - these colors will look gorgeous on every eye, a slight glimmer will add definition & glamour.
Available in Dermagrafix Permanent Cosmetic Studio Only

Scarlett Tantric Mascara - The World's First Sex Proof Mascara! - we love the way this lengthens and seperates lashes for gorgeous doe eyed eyes.
Available in Dermagrafix Permanent Cosmetic Studio

Swipe On an Elegant Pout
Use the same color as your cream blush to stain your lips before applying a creamy nude lipstick on top to ensure it will last all night. A nude lip is timeless and looks great on everyone. Here's a tip - instead of using lip gloss over the entire lip, try applying a clear gloss just in the center of the lips to give it a moist, healthy look.

This is a great look perfect for Valentine's Day dinner and drinks or try it on a night out with the girls!

Did you know...celebrities have permanent cosmetics?

Many people would be quite surprised to hear about how many celebrities have had permanent cosmetics. But it makes a ton of sense if you think about it...not only do permanent cosmetics enhance one's beauty but it is so convienient and time saving! Even sparing the 15 minutes it might take to put on your makeup in the morning could make a hell of a difference. Check out the celebrities we've found who have taken advantage of the benefits of permanent makeup...you might just be surprised!

Elizabeth Taylor - one of the most iconic and classically beautiful actresses in history has had her eyebrows eyeliner and lips tattooed!

Johnny Depp - yes, it's true he's a beautiful man but no one naturally has those smokey eyes! this stunner has had lash enhancement done, maybe taking his Captain Jack Sparrow role a little far but who's complaining - he's gorgeous!

First Lady Michelle Obama - this one's a bit of a shocker, but true! the first lady has her eyebrows tattooed, and as far as that choice...well, she's got our vote.

Victoria Beckham - I know we are all a bit jealous of this beauty, she is married to David Beckham (ridiculously attractive, the pair of them!) but as far as her always put together appearance - well we can chalk that one up to her tattooed eyebrows and eyeliner!

Nicholas Cage - although he was a starring role in "face off", this actor's face has been put on. this handsome guy's had his eyebrows and eyeliner tattooed!
Pamela Anderson - why are we not surprised? i don't think she even knows how many beauty "enhancing" procedures she's received but her tattooed brows, eyeliner and lip liner are certainly our favorite of her choices!

We love finding out the secrets of the stars, so we'll continue to track down the other celebrities who've enjoyed permanent cosmetics and keep you posted. In the meantime, if you know of any please share!
